Maria Island Tasmania - Vale

 A long held wish of mine was realised in January 2022 with a visit to Maria Island, situated off the East Coast of Tassie. It has a fascinating history of both convict and Italian entrepreneurial settlement. Many of the buildings are still intact from the early 1820s. Travel to the island is by ferry from the Port of Triabunna.

There are trails for walking and bike riding, only vehicles allowed are Park Rangers and you can get close to the wild life.
