Lobethal Fires 2 months on - Vale

As a Group we visited the aftermath of the fires in December that had swept through the countryside surrounding Cudlee Creek and Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills.

This is 2 months after the fire and 60mls of rain later. The grass and flowers returned!

Too close for comfort! This is the town of Lobethal and it's brush with the fire front
House saved here but not much else
Total devastation of this property

Many vineyards lost grapes both to fire and also to smoke taint

Post Bush Fires in Adelaide Hills - Robin

The burnt out stump of a wooden fence post

Even steel could not take the heat

But Blaze Aid came to the rescue

The remains of the devastation

Hearth and Home - long gone

The random nature of the fire storm trees missed and trees destroyed

Everywhere utter destruction

But signs of regrowth

Hope as nature reclaims what was destroyed
